First stop on the Mountain States tour for Rob and I. We walked down into the Grand Canyon to Cottonwood Campground on the Kaibab Trail. We walked back out the next day when Rob dropped his keys in the creek!

2 days climbing and walking with dad. 1st day Hen Cloud and Stanage (Flying Buttress and some overs). Second day walking north of Castleton).

Week in El Choro, Malaga, Spain with Rob and Anna. A week mainly of rain and little climbing.

2 days climbing. HS 4c lead at Harborough Rocks- followed by HVS 5a (my first)! Then a HVS 5b at Wild Cat led by Rob and a 2 pitch VS 4c (alternate leads). Visit to Black Rocks and then another the next day.

Weekend at Avon Gorge. "Epic" climb- 5.5 hours on the Sea Walls (mainly as I got lost). Still fantastic days climbing.

Weekend climbing in the peak district. Diffs & Vdiffs on gritstone. Beautiful climb in Lawrence Field on Sunday- multipitch Vdiff above the pool. Great camping in the forest below Lawrence Field.

Climbing weekend that was rained out. These were supposed to be pics of the Grooved Arete but instead of a scramble up the north ridge (good fun) and some excellent pics of sun through the rain.

After half a day at Harborough rocks we headed over to the Roaches (gritstone). Some great fun Vdiff multipitches. Pics of me (and some others) are Tom's.

Walk on England's South Downs through Kingsley Vale, with some of the oldest Yews in the country. High point- 206m hehe.

I decided it wasn't time to give up Spanish hiking. This was the REAL ending- and far better. Beautiful ridges, sunsets and ibex. Plus 3 summits:

This will be my last trip in Spain (this year). Its now far too hot- but I had a great ending! Torrecilla climbed (Sierra de las Nieves) from Tolox, a mission throughout the year. 1600m ascent, 8 hours to top, little water. Epic.

Weekend with Julia in the Sierra de las Nieves. Three peaks- 1043m, 1785m and 1804m! Pics of me are Julia's.

Same area as my last trip to El Torcal however this time I walked quit a bit further. High point for the day was a1160m hill. Flowers in bloom, and thistles everywhere- legs where shredded!

2 day ascent of Alcazaba (3371m), the 3rd highest peak of the Sierra Nevada. Excellent weather (again) and good snow.

Fresh snow and perfect weather. Excellent long weekend.

A winter trip to Wales? Absolute madness!! Wind, rain and cold. Brilliant.

Went to Tolox with Nicholaj to attempt Torrecilla from the south side, however the bus timetbale was restrictive and by the time we had to turn around we still had another 800m of ascent to go, next time!

The highest peaks in Andalucia and the Iberian Peninsula.

Highlights:
Mulhacén (3483m), Sierra Nevada's highest peak, Poqueira valley and waterways. Ibex and an Eagle.

50km north of Malaga, before Antequerra is El Torcal natural park- about 1000m above sea level and contains impressive rock formations. Highlights: Bouldering pics and limestone rock formations.

The Sierra de las Nieves are situated 50km west of Malaga and north of Marbella. Designated a national park in the 1980's it is a beautiful area and was well worth a weekend's visit. I shall return again in the winter. Highlights: Torrecilla, cliffs, pine forests and a sunset.

10km to the North-West outside of Malaga is a low sierra with rolling hills, a high point of 796m and white houses doting the landscape. These are photos across this range as I walked from Alora to Campanillas.

The Sierra de Mijas are located about 20km west of Malaga. In their morning shadow sits Alhaurin el Grande, Alhaurin de la Torre and on their southern sits th village of Mijas itself. The nearest beach town is Fuengirola. This collection has photos of the range from Alh. el Grande and the climb up Mt. Mijas- 1150m.

Photo´s from Malaga´s mountain national park. Some beautiful scenery to be found here amongst the pilons and electricity cables. Despite the name this national park is not particularly high-

A few photos from a stroll around Pagham bay on the south coast. Excellent cure for a major hangover. Highlights: The British south coast, a broken barrier and an interesting bay.

Tom and I spent an excellent weekend away from work down in Swanage and climbing on the lower walls of Dancing Ledge. Highlights: The South coast, cliffs, beautiful blue skies, high waves and green english countryside.

This years annual trip to the Lakedistrict was extremely rewarding- snow covered tops made for some beautiful photography. Highlights: Icefalls, Conniston Round, Helvelyn, snow covered ridges and peaks and Striding Edge in the snow.

Here is a small collection of the photos I took on the trip. I am dissapointed that most of them were too dark :( but these ones I am proud of. Highlights: Tryfan, mist on the summit, Little Tryfan and sunset pics.

1st outdoor climbing trip with Aston University Mountaineering Club.

The first full weekend spent with the AUMC on a trip to Birchover in the Peak District. Highlights: Climbing pics, trees in the mist, sunsets, blue skies and clear views.

These photos taken by dad are record of my first time on the Snowdon Horseshoe, great fun it was! Highlights: Me!

Photo's from my first time on the Snowdon Horeshoe. I have done Snowdon numerous times but never the other peaks or the famous exposed scramble of the knife edge. Highlights: Knife edge, the lake and a goat.

This was my firsy ski holiday in 15 years and the perfect playground to test the skills I'd learnt from Tamworth Snowdome. After learning to ski on proper snow I had an excellent time. Highlights: Dick of the Days, drunks and alcohol.

A weekend trip in February to the Lakedistrict has become an annual event. Highlights from this year: Pavey Ark, Scafell, Scafell Pike, Icefalls and a sunset.
